Poetry

by Reed Venrick

When God was made just one

When God was made just one

the divine was transplanted

from the forest and sea

no longer trees and animals

the land turned desert to survive

the life of the gingko

the life of the great gingko

is your life and mine

it's only from its growing

that we acquaint

sensibility so fine

R Venrick usually writes about issues of nature.

Most recently published in "Mountain Tales."
