THE BEAUTY OF YOUR SLEEP

my insomnia dissolves

into the cocoon

of your sleep

you bury my fist

in your cheek

envelop my trembling limbs

in your warmth

even when I roll over

your touching me

ever so slightly

makes all the nightmares

crawl back

to where they came from

for I can rest

in the beauty of your sleep.
